We are delighted that companies can resume indoor activities from the 20th September in line with the various announcements by Government in the context of the COVID-19: Reframing the Challenge, Continuing Our Recovery and Reconnecting and the updated guidance provided by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth together with Youth Sector stakeholders on the full reopening of activities.
This reflects the various announcements by Government in the context of the Roadmap for Reopening Society and Business and the guidance provided by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs together with Youth Sector stakeholders on the phased re-introduction of full service provision.
Guidance for Leaders on the process to be undertaken in order to resume face-to-face activities is available below. This includes our Response Plan and templates for Company Action Logs and Risk Assessments, together with links to various resource materials and information provided by Government sources.
Company Leaders MUST undergo this process together with Induction training BEFORE they can resume face-to-face activities with children and young people. There are no time restrictions or deadlines for the resumption of these activities because of the time required to consult and collaborate with all stakeholders. Leaders should resume activities when they are confident that it is SAFE for all Members and Leaders.
Leaders are encouraged to continue to offer online supports to Members via #BBatHome and virtual sessions.
The overarching framework for the resumption of BB activities is to follow Irish government guidelines at all times see http://www.gov.ie/covid19/
The Management Committee look forward to working with and supporting companies as they prepare for reopening within the current and ongoing Government and BB guidance. Please let us know when you get going again and share your experiences of reopening by emailing [email protected]
